Description
This course series, Building Financial Models with Microsoft Excel, consists of four (4) courses, provides 11 NASBA CPE credits, and offers a foundation for financial modeling using Excel spreadsheets. Course 1, Building Models Around the Master Budget–Operating Budgets, presents a foundation for financial modeling. Course 2, Building Models Around the Master Budget–Financial Budgets, focuses on the framework and contents for capital, cash, and balance sheet budgets. Course 3, Building Models Around Financial Statements and Free Cash Flows provides a framework for modeling consolidated financial statements (with specific focus on the statement of cash flows) and free cash flows. Finally, Course 4, Analysis of a Financial Model, details a comprehensive study to analyzing a financial model, covering sensitivity analysis modeling, contribution margin analysis modeling, financial ratios analysis modeling, valuation modeling, and capitalization chart modeling. Relevant terminology is presented/defined, graphic illustrations of modeling inputs/outputs are displayed, and an appendix providing a general overview of Microsoft Excel completes each course. It is recommended these courses be taken in the order given above because some of the concepts build on prior content.
